Turmeric + Apple Cider Vinegar Tea
A majority of the time you will find me with coffee in hand, but I rely on tea to wind down and soothe headaches, sore throat or congestion.
This recipe not only adds a refreshing twist to hot tea, but the key ingredients — turmeric and apple cider vinegar — are known for numerous health benefits, including aiding inflammation and digestion.
I tend to use TAZO Organic Spicy Ginger with this recipe, but the flavors work just as well with black or green tea. You can also introduce the ginger taste by adding peeled ginger to your water while it is boiling (remove ginger chunks prior to adding the other ingredients).
Additionally, the below recipe is adapted to my preferences. I highly recommend adding the vinegar and turmeric slowly in smaller portions and tasting along the way to find the best ratio for you!
Turmeric + Apple Cider Vinegar Tea Recipe
Ingredients
1 cup Water, boiled
1 Tea bag
1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
1/4 tsp Turmeric, ground
1/2 tbsp honey
Directions
Boil water.
Add tea bag to cup. Pour over boiling water and allow to steep for approximately 5 minutes.
Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Serve warm.
