Salty's on Redondo Beach

While visiting Redondo Beach in Des Moines, Washington, I had the pleasure of trying Salty’s on Redondo Beach.

This restaurant really has the market covered. There is a traditional dining area and a deck over the water, hosting phenomenal views of the Sound, Maury Island and the Olympic Mountains; beach-goers can grab a snack from their walk-up Fish Bar; or they offer coffee and fresh pastry at their Boardwalk Espresso Bar.

They even host special menus, like their new sunset menu and Sunday all-you-can-eat brunch.

Salty’s Fish Bar is surrounded by beach-inspired decor and bright colors.

I chose the grab-and-go option, known by locals for their fish and chips and always having ice cream sandwiches on hand. If you’re not interested in seafood, they also offer options like chicken fingers and corn dogs. And for patrons 21 years and older, they have beer, wine and cooler options.

Popcorn shrimp and fries, paired withe ice cold lemonade.
